In Memory of Susan Belford White



Class of 1978
Bethel High School

        NEWPORT NEWS - Susan Belford White, 53, a native of Hampton, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness. She was a Supervisor in the Quality Assurance Dept. at Synerject in Newport News. Susan was a graduate of Bethel High School and Thomas Nelson Community College. She was an avid book reader; loved cats; and enjoyed camping and spending time at the Outer Banks and Cape Hatteras. Susan was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elizabeth & Cecil Topping, and Virginia & Bob Belford Sr. She is survived by her husband of twelve years, Michael White, and daughter Hannah Belford, both of Newport News; parents, Dolores & Robert Belford Jr. of Hampton; brothers, Roy Belford of Newport News and Paul Belford of Hampton; a sister, Janet Edmondson of Poquoson; nephew, Robert Belford IV; nieces, Rhiannon Belford and Reva Cheatham; two great-nieces; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 1-2:00 PM, at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, immediately followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home by Rev. Barry Throckmorton and Rev. Milford Rollins. Burial will be private. At other times the family will be at Janet's home, 214 Wythe Creek Rd., #126, Poquoson. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association , 870 Greenbrier Circle, Chesapeake, VA, 23320, or the Peninsula SPCA, 523 J. Clyde Morris Blvd., Newport News, VA, 23601. Online condolences to www.claytorrollins.com . "Special thanks for the care given Susan by the doctors and nurses at the Mary Immaculate Hospital ICU."
